DESCRIPTION
Mosaico is a game set in a constantly shifting environment, where the player must uncover the logic behind each transformation. The narrative unfolds inside a magical building where its immortal inhabitants are divided into three sectors—Engineering, Physics, and Anthropology—each responsible for maintaining different aspects of the structure’s operation.
I took part in the project as Game Designer and Game Developer, contributing directly to gameplay systems, character and level design, and overall mechanics. The game was developed as part of a final academic project during my graduation and resulted in a playable prototype created over the course of a few months, focused on demonstrating the core experience and potential of the concept.

STORY AND MECHANICS
Set in the region of Unai, the story follows a secret society of scholars who, centuries ago, created a parallel dimension known as The House—a place where its inhabitants became immortal. Initially born from the fear of death and the desire to witness humanity’s progress, The House eventually evolved into a center for time research, including the development of a time machine used to observe the future and recruit scientists from different eras.
One of its core sectors, Anthropology, is responsible for subtly recording and influencing the course of human history—something justified by its founders as a right of the wise.
However, a pair of dissenting scholars opposed this manipulation. Their plan to destroy The House was uncovered, and they were executed, leaving behind a son, Bahman. Raised by those abandoned in the original library, Bahman is trained to infiltrate The House and carry out his parents' mission—unaware that his mentors have their own ambitions for power.
For this prototype, two main puzzles were planned:
-
The L-shaped corridor, where once the player enters, the room rotates every time they try to use one of the two doors. Inside, there's also a safe with a combination lock that requires a three-digit code to open and allow the player to exit the room.
-
The generator puzzle in the Physics Department, which involves restoring power to the building.
